Brief Profile for Scott A. Dilling, P.E.           Send an E-mail Message


Mr. Dilling is an engineering consultant, specializing in the areas of: product design, patents, and training.  He is fully equipped to handle these tasks using Autodesk® Inventor® for CAD modeling, and ANSYS® for finite element analysis (FEA).  He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State ofOhio, having a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.   His years of experience in the automotive and trucking industries include designing suspension components, including: beams, bushings, axles, and brakes.  He is familiar with various manufacturing processes such as: welding, forming, forging, casting, stamping, and molding.   He has been named as an inventor on several patents, and is a Registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Dilling has designed and analyzed various components for clients using ANSYS and Autodesk Inventor programs.    He has served as a consultant/expert in patent infringement cases involving pintle hitches, air suspension systems, air disc brake mechanisms, motorized scooter suspensions, rebar support bolsters, spinning rims (i.e., “wheel spinners”), and actuator devices found on vehicle transporters.

Mr. Dilling has worked on patent applications, and has created drawings for numerous patent applications.  He has assisted in the design process, thus helping inventors transform their ideas into innovative designs.
